CCW 2013: Digital Nirvana to Show Live Stream and Broadcast Monitoring Software, Plus Content Repurposing Solution

logoNewark, CA – Digital Nirvana’s live stream media monitoring solution, broadcast monitoring software, and content repurposing system for multi-platform distribution will be front and center at the upcoming Content & Communications World Expo (CCW). Being held from November 13-14th at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City, CCW is an annual convention focused on media and entertainment technology that includes HDWorld, SATCON and the Production + Post conferences.

Digital Nirvana will exhibit in Booth #1257 at the show.

“We’re very excited about CCW 2013,” said Hiren Hindocha, president and CEO of Digital Nirvana. “It’s a dynamic show that grows in popularity each year. It’s the perfect venue to present innovative technology. We’ve got a unique set of products that offer the capabilities and cost savings customers need now. We anticipate a very positive reception at this show next month.”

AnyStream IQTM, the industry’s first live stream media monitoring solution, will be showcased within Digital Nirvana’s CCW booth. This cloud-based software-as-a-service helps broadcasters record, log and monitor live streamed media, AnyStream Live Stream Workflow Diagram 9 13 13validate ad runs, prove web captioning compliance, and cut clips for easy sharing. AnyStream IQ is designed specifically for the new streamed media monitoring requirements of broadcasters, content creators, aggregators and distributors.

Because it’s a cloud-based subscription service, there is no hardware or software to install. Users just specify the URL of the stream, and AnyStream IQ records the streams, extracts the closed captions (if any), and provides a browser-based interface to search the recorded streams. With its Cut/Clip feature, users can easily mark in and out points on the video and share the clip for either compliance or proof of airing purposes. AnyStream IQ complements a station’s current, in-house broadcast compliance logging system.

In addition to AnyStream IQ, Digital Nirvana offers an innovative solution for traditional broadcast monitoring. Monitor IQ is the only broadcast monitoring system that provides automatic ad detection, a director’s audio track, as well as an advanced metadata harvester™capability.  Monitor IQ combines the functionality of content recording (HD and SD in full resolution), content searching, retrieval and repurposing, Web publishing, signal monitoring, air-check logging, archiving, ad verification and tracking, and competitive analysis while offering the scalability that broadcasters need.

The latest software includes several features that are a direct result of customer feedback. Among the new, customer-suggested features are: flexible content archiving, real-time newscast exporting, and automatic extraction of Program Guide data from the broadcast stream.

Because the platform is based on open web services (REST) API’s, Digital Nirvana’s software can be easily integrated with third party products and can scale from one to multiple servers and from one to hundreds of channels. All Digital Nirvana solutions are web enabled, so users can access the software through any standard web browser without ActiveX component.

The company will also feature its MediaProTM content repurposing system for multi-platform distribution, which offers a low-cost way to repurpose HD clips from cable and broadcast. This new solution records encrypted cable feeds in full HD and is ideal for news and sports directors who frequently repurpose content from cable channels. For the broadcast engineer, it eliminates the need to maintain multiple set top boxes, frees up valuable rack space, and removes the cost of multiple DVRs.

MediaPro IQ allows users to easily edit, clip and publish live or recorded content in real-time.  Search is based on keywords, program titles, descriptions, textual metadata, closed-caption, as-run logs, traffic logs, alarm and discrepancy logs and time/date or channel filters.

CABSAT 2013: International Datacasting to Show Product Range at Largest Digital Media Expo in MEA Region

Ottawa, ON, March 11, 2013 – International Datacasting (TSX: IDC), a global leader in digital content distribution for the world’s premiere broadcasters, will be at the CABSAT 2013 show in Dubai March 12th-14th, supporting the company’s Middle East region resellers MEConnect and TradeCom. IDC’s broad range of video contribution and data distribution Titan Encoderproducts will be on display at the MEConnect booth (Hall1, Stand #111.) CABSAT is the largest digital media and satellite expo in the MEA (Middle East and Africa) region.

On display will be: IDC’s LASER targeted ad insertion platform, Digital Tattoo DTH over IP gateway, STAR Pro Audio solution and the TITAN MPEG-2/MPEG-4 video encoder.

“We’re looking forward to meeting with our broadcast customers and potential customers at CABSAT this year,” said Virginia Lee Williams, Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, International Datacasting.  “MEA is one of the fastest growing communications markets in the world. We’re committed to having a strong presence in the Middle East. Leading broadcasters throughout the world rely on our products to ensure managed, uninterrupted delivery of valuable entertainment, news and highly targeted advertising.”

The LASER ad insertion video solution gives network broadcasters who deliver content via satellite the ability to offer advertisers exceptional ad insertion granularity. LASER enables broadcasters to increase advertising revenues by seamlessly inserting regional or local commercials at the edge of the network. With the LASER platform, each location can be addressed and targeted individually with pinpoint accuracy. LASER allows for the replacement of ad content that may be unsuitable for specific audiences due to copyright issues, or regional variances, with ad content more appropriate for that target market. This flexibility allows broadcasters serving a wide geographic market to generate revenue from a broader base of advertisers.

IDC has over 15 years’ experience in delivering professional MPEG video contribution encoding platforms and has over 5,000 installations worldwide.

Wayne, N.J. – FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Optical Devices Division will show a variety of new lenses and upgrades at this year’s NAB at the Las Vegas Convention Center. On display within Booth C7525 will be FUJINON lenses for broadcasting, sports, digital cinematography and production applications, including an enhanced version of the Emmy-Award winning “Precision Focus Assist” technology and the latest in PL Mount, EFP, Studio, and ENG lenses.

ZK3 5x85-2 85-300mm Cabrio 11 8 12 JPEGTwo high-performance lenses, the Premier PL 85-300 Cabrio lens (model ZK3.5×85) and the XA99x8.4 UltraWide field production lens, will make their NAB debut this year.  While the PL 85-300 is similar in size and weight as the PL 19-90mm Cabrio (Model ZK4.7×19), its longer focal length makes it ideal for shooting documentaries, nature and wildlife, and commercials.  The PL 85-300 offers a focal length of 85-220mm at T2.9 and 300mm at T4.0, with 200-degree focus rotation.

Designed using the latest optical simulation technology, the PL 85-300 Cabrio not only offers exceptional optical performance in the center of the image but in the corners of the frame as well.  Like the highly acclaimed PL 19-90 Cabrio, the PL 85-300 is equipped with the same indispensable features including flange focal distance adjustment, a MOD of 1.2m,  a macro function for objects as close as 97mm (3.8-inches), and covers a 31.5mm diagonal sensor size.

The digital servo’s 16-bit encoding assures operators that all lens data output—such as the position of the zoom, iris, and focus—is extremely accurate and the lens supports Lens Data System (LDS) and /i metadata formats. Like the PL 19-90, the new PL 85-300 Cabrio features an exclusive detachable servo drive unit, making it suitable for use as a standard PL lens or as an ENG-style lens.  And the PL 85-300 can be controlled using cinema industry standard wireless controllers as well as existing FUJINON wired and wireless units.

The entire range of Premier PL 4K+ cine lenses will be in the booth. The 14.5-45mm T2.0, 18-85mm T2.0, 24-180mm T2.6, and 75-400 mm T2.8-T3.8 will all be on display.

The new XA99x UltraWide lens is ideal for producing live sports and entertainment events. An XA99xPF will also be on display with an enhanced version of Precision Focus Assist (PF), marking the first time this model has incorporated PF technology. Precision Focus Assist automatically adjusts focus, ensuring fast and accurate focus of HD images under XA99x8 4 box lens 11 8 12varying conditions. The XA99x UltraWide offers a zoom range of 99x, a focal length of 8.4 to 832mm, and MOD of 2.9m.  The XA99x is f1.7 to 341mm and f4.2 at 832mm. Like other lenses in this product line, including the XA77x9.5, XA88x8.8, XA88x12.5 and the XA101x8.9, the XA99x8.4 offers FUJINON’s DIGI POWER digital controls, offering high accuracy, flexibility and a host of production features.

The XA99x8.4 features a newly developed, patented image stabilization technology for rock-steady performance, which is critical for long-distance HD shots.  High-resolution 16-bit encoders are standard, making it suitable for virtual, robotic, and digital signage, among other applications.  FUJINON’s exclusive GO-TECHnology improves image resolution and reduces chromatic aberrations at all focal lengths.

An addition to the 1/3-inch eXceed line is a new version of FUJINON’s 1/3-inch XT17sx4.5 lens. The new XT17sx4.5BMD lens features full remote control, for videoconferencing, weather cams, educational, and studio robotic applications.

Other NAB highlights include lenses in the Premier Series of high-performance ENG lenses for 2/3-inch cameras – the HA19x7.4, the HA14x4.5 super wide angle and the HA16x6.3 lenses. And the ZA Select Series lenses will be on display in telephoto, remote control, and with and without 2X extender versions.

Vizrt brings a complete workflow for video and graphics production to CABSAT 2013

See us in Dubai, March 12th – 14th 2013. Booth D8-10

CABSAT is the Middle East and Africa’s largest broadcast digital media and satellite expo. Held annually in Dubai, the show gives media companies across the region access to the latest technologies in the media industry.

Vizrt Middle East, based in Dubai, will be on hand at the show with a large booth designed to display the complete graphics and video workflow Vizrt has created for broadcasters.

Newsroom workflow

Vizrt gives journalists the edge for getting a story on-air and online efficiently with a newsroom workflow that integrates Cabsat 2013 Vizrt Booth JPGeasy-to-use templates with the journalists’ native newsroom control system (NRCS). With Viz Content Pilot, journalists access these templates for creating graphics, editing maps and selecting videos from Viz Media Engine to add to a playlist for on-air use and online multi-platform delivery.

IP Streaming

The powerful Viz Engine, Vizrt’s real-time 3D compositing system, now has IP-streaming capability. This allows broadcasters to stream multiple formats and resolutions for creating online and mobile graphic and video content.

Video integration

Adobe and Vizrt combine to create a package that gives the editor complete control of graphic and video content from within Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 for live and post-production requirements.

Video content can be reached from the Viz Media Engine through the Viz NLE plugin giving Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 editors access to content across the complete asset management solution from Vizrt or using the Viz Media Engine as a bridge to other asset management systems.

Viz NLE is Vizrt’s plugin for non-linear editing systems that allows editors to have access to templates extending the branding from live on-air to pre and post production.

The latest version of the Viz Media Engine offers a comprehensive media management platform from ingest to playout for local clip and still stores up to full enterprise media asset management and archive systems. At CABSAT we will be showing the Viz Media Engine as an integral component of the unique unified workflow solution offering the tools to present efficient multi-platform delivery with consistent branding across all media channels.

Unlimited studio possibilities

Viz Virtual Studio presents producers with unrivaled possibilities. Complex 2D and 3D virtual sets, which include interactivity, can be easily created using an intuitive interface. The solution was created to fully support the Vizrt family of applications and can be seamlessly integrated with existing software installations. Viz Virtual Studio supports all major camera-tracking solutions and other studio peripherals, offering broadcasters a cutting- edge solution for the creation of virtual sets.

Social TV

With the Social TV solution, Vizrt brings a workflow that captures social media content and allows presenters to tell a story in visually compelling ways. Content is captured from Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, YouTube, Instagram as well as third party partners like never.no, TrendrrTV and Mass Relevance.

Weather and news maps

Viz World is Vizrt’s premiere mapping solutions and with new integrations with OpenStreetMaps, broadcasters now have access to a world of local street data. Add in the capabilities of Viz Weather with the new sandstorm data and Vizrt continues to bring broadcasters everything needed in a template-based mapping workflow.

At CABSAT 2013 Vizrt will be showing all these systems and much more. Make an appointment today and we will see you at the show!
